Pastor Jim Parker

Pastor Jim has given leadership to Bethany since 1996. Living just blocks from the church, Pastor Jim enjoys the people of Bethany and the community as a whole. His major responsibilities and giftedness include leadership, teaching, and encouragement. Conducts baby dedications, baptisms, funerals and weddings, as well as regular pastoral duties. 

Pastor Jim also serves in various community roles: 
 

     Founding and active Chairperson of East York Strategy, working to reduce crime and create
     good in East York-Danforth (www.eastyorkstrategy.com).

     Executive board member of Pape Village Business Improvement Area.

     Chaplain for 54 Division, Toronto Police Services.

     Member of the Community Policing Liaison Committee for 54 Division.

     Coordinator of Chess Clubs at William Burgess Public School and Westwood Middle School.

     Is married with two daughters.

     Enjoys sports, woodworking and reading.

Carolyn Parker (Youth Worker)

Carolyn Parker is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a BScN. After moving to Toronto she spent a number of years as a stay at home mom. 

Currently she works part-time as an itinerant science teacher with Scientists in School and part time at Bethany Baptist Church. Carolyn is also an active volunteer on the school council of two local schools.

Thomas LeRoy (Youth Worker)

Thomas has been attending Bethany for a number of years and has been a valuable volunteer in our youth programs.  He also knows many of the students from his work with the East York Strategy Sports Leagues.  Thomas is currently in grade 12 at Monarch Park Collegiate, working as a co-op student at Walter Perry Elementary School.

Monique Picklyk (Organist, pianist, Choir Leader)

We are pleased to welcome Monique in 2011 as our talented musician and inspiring music leader. Monique helps us all to worship God with excellence, passion, and meaning.
 

Eugene Colley (Custodian)

We thank long-church-member Eugene for his dedicated work as our Custodian each week. A clean and tidy church reflects the glory of God!
